Experience makes better coffee!
For over 25 years, Coscina Brothers has been growing and sourcing coffee from around the world to create the most unique private label blends for customers in the South Pacific Islands, the United States, Canada, Japan, China, and Korea.
Over 7 million pounds of coffee are grown in the Hawaiian Islands and Hawaii is the only state in the USA that grows coffee. While the Big Island of Hawaii produces the world famous Kona coffee, the islands of Oahu, Kauai, Maui and Molokai also have very distinctive coffees. Our company concentrates on Kona and Waialua (Oahu) coffee and we are noted as being a prime supplier of these two products.
Your Choice - Kona vs. Waialua Coffee Beans
Both coffees are of the fine mild Arabica typical species. Once roasted, these coffees exhibit very distinctive island flavors. The slopes of Waialua with its rich soil and plentiful sunshine give you a low acid sweet coffee that so pleasant to drink as a light or dark roast. A wonderful burst of flavor and then your mouth feels clean and refreshed.
The Kona coffees have the best volcanic soils to grow a coffee that is nutty, sweet, medium acidity, soft and smooth in its finish. The Kona growing district is on the south slope of the volcano - Mauna Loa and is 20 miles long and 2 miles wide. This area has the ideal growing conditions to produce this world class coffee.
The coffee trees in Kona were used to start the Waialua farm in 1993. Even though the trees from each island are the same original stock, the tastes are different because of the growing conditions. Temperature, rainfall, sunshine, soil and the care given to each coffee tree produces these differences. We encourage you to try these unique coffees and send us back your comments.
